Laughter filled the air as two young children ran through the large field of flowers. A young girl and boy, both around the age of six or seven laughed as they took turns chasing each other around. The young girl had beautiful brunette hair that fell just above her butt, and bright, ocean blue eyes. Her skin complexion was a rich, very light beige; her cheeks a luscious rosy pink with a small amount of freckles, barely noticeable. She was average height and had a very nice figure for a young girl such as herself. The young man, however, had a very dark shade of brown colored hair, along with deep, forest green eyes. His skin complexion was very pale that could pass for white, a slightly pinkish color added to his cheeks. He was tall for his age, as well as lanky. The two looked as if they had known each other since birth.

“Catch me if you can!” The young girl sang as she ran from the boy.

“I’m gonna catch you! Then you’ll be it!” The boy called out to her, both of them laughing.

The young girl suddenly gasped when the boy tackled her to the ground then laughed.

“Your turn to be it!” The boy sang and got up, running off in the opposite direction.

Both the young boy and girl had known each other since they were in diapers. Their mothers had known each other for a long time, and both had gotten pregnant with their children around the same time. The young man, though, was a few months older then the girl. The two children knew each other throughout their school days, and spent every second they possibly could together. Some had confused the children for brother and sister; some confused them for a very young couple who had not yet discovered love. However, the truth was they were the best of friends; no one could break the bond they shared. The girl had blossomed into a beautiful young woman, and the boy had grown into a handsome young man. Both still shared the same bond they did when they were little. They both still resembled their younger selves, with just a few noticeable changes.

“So, are you going to the dance?” The young girl asked, now around the age of 16.

“I’m not sure. I don’t think I will.” The young boy answered, also about the age of 16.

“How about both of us go together? You know, as friends?” The girl suggested, swinging her legs over the side of the cliff.

“Alright, that sounds good.” The boy answered, and they both smiled at each other.

“I’m glad you agreed. Come on, we should go tell our parents that we’re going to the dance.” The girl said and stood up, dusting herself off.

“Okay.” The boy answered and stood up as well.

The woman’s hair had grown out to the back of her knees, and her ocean blue eyes remained the same. Her freckles had faded, but her cheeks remained that luscious rosy pink color. Her skin complexion darkened slightly over the years, though it was still very light. She had also grown chest wise. They were not too big, nor not too small. She had truly, grown into a beautiful young woman that no man could resist. The man had become taller and had a nice muscular build, though not too muscular. His hair had grown out past his chin, and his eyes became slightly lighter. The man and woman were now around the age of 21 or so. They both also held feelings for each other, but were too afraid to admit it to the other.

“Hey, Ulquiorra. Let’s make a promise.” The woman blurted out suddenly. She and the young man, Ulquiorra, were sitting atop a well, staring at the star filled sky.

“What kind of promise?” He asked, turning to look at her.

“Let’s promise each other to never forget one another, and always be together. No matter what.” She said, still staring at the sky.

Ulquiorra remained silent for a long moment. Though, he instantly smiled when she turned to look at him questionably.

“Alright. I promise.” He said, causing the woman to grin hugely.

“Okay! Give me your pinky!” She said, holding out her own pinky finger. Ulquiorra and the woman locked fingers and shook their hands up and down once.

“There, it’s a promise. If one of us breaks it, we have to stick a needle in our eye.” She said, causing Ulquiorra to chuckle.

Ulquiorra and the young girl soon confessed their feelings to each other, and were now in a committed relationship. They held a deep love for each other, and watched out for one another. They moved in together in a one-bedroom apartment, and lived happily together. Ulquiorra supported both himself and the girl with a good paying job. “It was okay, though I was lonely without you here.” She said and made a pouting face, which he quickly kissed away.

The two remained in that position for a long time. Ulquiorra began to sway from side to side, humming softly as he kissed the top of her head.

“I have to ask you something.” He suddenly said, pulling away from her. The young woman looked at him, confused. The young man dropped down on one knee and pulled a small, black velvet box out of his coat pocket.

“I love you more then anything. Please, make me the happiest man in the universe and marry me.” He said, staring up at her with the box in hand. He opened it and revealed the beautiful, triple diamond white gold ring to her.

Tears welled up in the woman’s eyes as she stared at him, covering her mouth with both of her hands. Unable to speak, she nodded furiously and squealed as she wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him with all the love in her heart.
