There’s a place off ocean avenue

Where I used to sit and talk with you

We were both 16 and it felt so right

Sleeping all day staying up all night [staying up all night]

I could remember everything about that place. The blistering heat, the mist of ocean spray that would hit your face, your auburn colored hair that would whip around your perfect face every time the wind blew, and especially the way your bright green eyes were always full of curiosity every time we saw each other.

There’s a place on the corner of cherry street

We would walk on the beach in our bare feet

We were both 18 and it felt so right

Sleeping all day staying up all night [staying up all night]

You were the only person I trusted, the only person I actually opened up to, and you were the only person I could be completely honest with. You never turned your back on me, you were always there and you always listened. That’s what I liked about you. If I had told anyone else about my secret, they would have spread it all over the world; but not you. You gave me your word that you would not tell a soul that I was a vizard.

If I could find you now things would get better

We could leave this town and run forever

Let your waves crash down on me

And take me away, yeah, yeah

But that dreadful day, when I had to leave Karakura Town, you looked so heart broken it made me want to just pull you into my arms and hold you for eternity. I hated having to leave your side, you were the most precious thing to me. I treasured the four years we spent together. I wished I could have stayed to comfort you when you were sad, calm you when you were angry, laugh with you when you were happy, and be the one to hold you when you were hurt.

There’s a piece of you that’s here with me

It’s everywhere I go it’s everything I see

When I sleep, I dream and it gets me by

I can make believe that you’re here tonight [that you’re here tonight]

It’s been two years since I had to leave you. I find myself thinking about you more often than I’d like, it was hard for me to understand at first but I think I know the reason now. You’ve captured my heart and everyday I think about you. Today is the day that I return to you and the day that I’ll make you my wife. I won’t ever leave you again, I promise.

If I could find you know things would get better

We could leave this town and run forever

Let your waves crash down on me

And take me away, yeah, yeah

“Arisu!” I shouted, running down that same street we used to meet on. The sun was just barely setting, the sky becoming a mixture of red, orange, yellow and purple. Stopping at the usual spot we met at, I bent over with my hands on my knees, panting heavily as I tried to catch my breath. “Where are you?” I mumbled and began running again, my lungs constricting and my vision blurring.

I remember the look in your eyes

When I told you that this was good bye

You were begging me not tonight

Not here, not now

“She’s gone. She moved away.” Ichigo stated, standing on the threshold of his front door. “How long ago did she leave? Where did she go?” I asked, glaring at the bright orange haired man. “She left about half an hour ago. Arisu said she was moving to America, but she never gave a reason.” He replied. I didn’t say anything else and just turned, running away from the house that also served as a clinic. “Please still be here.” I mumbled to myself, grabbing a taxi and heading straight to the airport.

We’re looking up at the same night sky

And keep pretending the sun will not rise

We’ll be together for one more night

Somewhere, somehow

“Arisu, stop!” I yelled, spotting the auburn hair girl amongst the crowd of people. “Stop! Wait!” I yelled, pushing through the crowd. Arisu turned at the sound of a familiar voice, her bright green eyes searching the crowd before they landed upon a blonde young man whose face looked so familiar. “Shinji…” Her lips moved slowly, her eyes widening in shock. “Arisu!” Shinji yelled, there was still a great distance between the two. Arisu turned fully, dropping her bags and ran to him, wrapping her arms around the man’s neck and pressing her face into the crook of his neck.

If I could find you now things would get better

We could leave this town and run forever

I know somewhere, somehow we’ll be together

Let your waves crash down

And take me away, yeah, yeah

Shinji wrapped his arms around Arisu tightly and inhaled her sweet floral scent, not wanting to let go. The two stayed like that for a long time before they pulled away, tears streaking Arisu’s face. “Where have you been?” She asked as Shinji wiped away her tears. “Everywhere but here. I’m sorry I left, I should have stayed.” Shinji replied, and pressed his forehead against hers, caressing her face between both hands.

“Don’t leave me. Not again.” Arisu said, closing her eyes as her arms tightened around him.

“I wouldn’t dream of it.” Shinji then pressed his lips against hers, not caring who was looking and ignoring their stares. “You’re my precious angel, I’m never leaving you again.”
